Project Officer - Waste and Sustainability Programs (Riverina region)

The Riverina and Murray Regional Organisation of Councils is a group of 18 member councils in the Murray and Western Riverina regions of NSW.

One of its activities is to facilitate waste management and environmental sustainability programs on a regional basis.

Responsibilities of the position will be to implement the Waste Management and Sustainability Strategic Plan, identifying and sourcing additional funding opportunities, developing and implementing programs, producing reports and ensuring effective communication with member councils, state agencies and community and industry groups.

This is a contract position which will co-ordinate the delivery of these programs in the western Riverina region for the benefit of member councils and their communities.

The contract is for approximately 15-25 hours per week dependent on project demands.

Proposals to undertake a consultancy agreement will be favourably considered.
